Badger damage in your garden

As you will be aware badgers and their sets are protected and so dealing with damage to your lawn or garden caused by them is a task that requires some careful planning.
There are many suggested methods of detering badgers some of which will be successful and with widely varying costs.
Creating a strong physical barrier such as a metal badger fence is likely to work but also be expensive and unsightly around your garden.
Low cost solutions such as changing the way your garden furniture is laid out, leaving a radio playing quietly in the garden and installing distracting objects may help in some way but keeping these unwanted visitors out of your garden is ideal.
A proven method of detering badgers is to utilise an electric fence as is typically used to deter and contain many other animals. An electric fence is straightforward to install, easy to re-position if required, cost effective to run and 100% safe.
These systems require the installation of temporary plastic posts and electified lines around the area to be protected. A voltage is pulsed through these fence lines and is sufficient to deter the badgers without causing them any harm.
An electric fence can be mains or battery powered so installing a fence where there is no mains power available nearby is no problem. A system can be created for virtually any size and shape of garden and can be removed and reinstalled as necessary.
